3/3/2026 I passed the NCMHCE on the first try. At first, I was overwhelmed by the amount of information on the website, but I can assure you it prepared me for the exam. The actual exam felt easier and more direct and straight to the point. Counselingexam is great for studying and getting comfortable with the test format. I felt comfortable navigating the test, and I had practice with counselingexam's narratives and exams.

2/28/2026 I purchased the 60 day subscription. At first, I found all of the website overwhelming with the amount of information that is on there. I took my first 15 minute narrative and was able to get a better understanding of what the NCMHCE would look like. It is very similar. What helped me the most to prepare for the exam was taking the narratives and the sample exams on the website. I was able to track my progression and see how my grades improved the more I studied. I made sure to familiarize myself with theories that were not as familiar to me because I don’t use them very often, I also made sure that I understood differential diagnosis, the basic interventions used with for each theory, read through the DSM 5 TR made easy, the ACA code of ethics, reflections (of feeling/meaning/content), difference between summarizing/paraphrasing, the standard assessments for Dx, and knowing when to use each of the following with clients: safety, stabilization, motivation, teach skills, insight, growth, etc. Good luck to all the future exam takers! I ended up getting a score of 83, and the required score for passing was 66! I was so grateful to have bought a subscription to the counseling exam website! It really helped me prepare. I actually found the narratives and practice full length exams on CE to be harder than the actual NCMHCE.

2/20/2026 I want to thank this program for having literally everything I needed to pass the NCMHCE. I.bought the year long program. The first I failed by 4 points because I put the weight of the world on my shoulders. I didn't even study when I scheduled the test for 5 weeks later because I knew I had everything to pass it o just needed to not let the anxiety win. I PASSED on February 3rd 2026!!!! I will recommend this program a hundred times over.

2/19/2026 Thanks to CounselingExam, I passed the NCMHCE on my first attempt! I dedicated maybe 2-3 hours a day for 1 month. The narratives were challenging enough to where I felt prepared for any case study that came my way. I will gladly recommend this service to everyone I know!

2/18/2026 One and done! Passed my NCMHCE yesterday and I could not be more relieved and grateful! I dedicated 2 hours of studying daily through the website for 4 months completing 75% of the material. My score on the exam was in line with my scores on the practice exam. Completing narratives and quizzes were invaluable for developing skills that helped you understand the question and get used to the pace necessary to read through the narrative. Taking all the full length exams is so helpful in helping to gauge your time and momentum for completing the entire exam. Highly recommend counselingexam.com for success!

2/4/2026 Initial tests and narratives gave me confidence that I may be good to test early so I went for it. And.... I passed. This is a good format for test prep. My final score was right in line with the feedback the system was giving me from a month of studying and practicing.

1/30/2026 I passed my exam!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used the site for 3 months practicing the narratives and focusing on what i needed to strengthen. I got a 71 and the passing score was 66. I am so thankful to the creators and contributors of this site. Highly recommend.
