5/12/2022 I AM SO Happy to announce that I passed on the FIRST go around for the NCMHCE and a huge thank you goest to Counselingexam.com. I think that you prepared me so well for the exam because honestly haha your study content was harder than the real exam! This was a good thing because I was more than prepared. I believe I was correct on almost every diagnosis for the exam and a huge reason is because I was forced to learn everything I needed to know through these simulations. 5/12/2022 This program was a life saver. I bought the 90 day program, 75 days before my exam. I basically utilized this program 2 hours a day 5 days a week until my test on Tuesday and I passed on my first attempt! I was recommended by other counselors to get this program, and I will be doing the same for any future counselors that ask. Thank you for such a great program!

5/11/2022 I took my exam yesterday, 5/10 and passed on the first try. Thanks to this resource I was able to familiarize myself with the test as well as review material. I purchased the DSM 5 audio files as well, and listened to them in the car and while doing chores. I found this site very helpful in targeting material and strategies such as the SIM maps, and diagnostic trees. The test can be overwhelming and confusing, but by writing down information as in the SIM map, and paying attention to symptoms, onset, duration, functioning etc, it helped clarify the information provided. This site also gives you the information you need in terms of assessments, counseling theories, and ethics. Thank you to the good people creating this site! It’s worth every penny.

5/10/2022 I passed my NCMHCE today on my first attempt, with flying colors. I was so well prepared because of this program. I used the 30 day subscription and practiced ALL of the case simulations, exams, and many random exams. Although I had purchased many other study books, this was by far my most useful study tool. I am a very nervous test taker, but this program gave me the skills and confidence I needed. I am so grateful that this program exists and helps one learn how to take this exam. Many thanks!!

5/2/2022 I just passed my exam today, and it was largely due to the prep I received through this website! I have been in the mental health field for 12 years now, and I really had to leave my experience at the door for this test. I never would have passed it without the practice simulations and exams. 4/27/2022 I took my exam on 4/16/22 and passed on the first try! Not only that, but my scores were way above the minimum for passing. I used this site for about 85% of my acquired knowledge and am eternally grateful for my friend pointing me in the direction of Counseling Exam. It made a world of a difference in helping me to understand what to expect on the exam and reduced some of my test anxiety so that in the weeks leading up I started to feel fairly confident in walking into the exam (something I have never experienced in any tests prior to this). I bought the 60 day program and took advantage of the site, working through almost everything in almost every category. The practice tests were the most crucial part of preparing for the exam, in my experience. I took almost all the practice exams and two full length exams about two and three weeks prior to my exam, passing both above 80%, letting me know I was ready to take the exam. I also took Barton Bolt's Decision Making course, which I found very helpful as well. I also researched each diagnosis both in the DSM-5 and on youtube to really understand each disorder. I also found the Diagnosis Trees very helpful. I highly suggest this site to everyone taking the NCMHCE and am so grateful. I happened to have a lot of time to study the past 60 days but in retrospect I probably would have purchased a 90 day program had I known how effective this site is, especially if you don't have as much time every day to study. I am pretty sure I would not have passed the exam without it but I am so glad I will never have to find out! I also found their customer service to be excellent, giving me a few day extension so that I could use the site right up to the exam. Thanks so much Counseling Exam!

5/16/2022 I did pass the exam today, but I feel like I wasted a ton of time on subjects here thinking they would be on the exam, and they were not at all. You could remove all those group and career simulations and add more young children simulations. The family therapy interventions were not present in really any of the simulations, and not my exam or any of my peers' exams. I think there should be more focus and videos on level of functioning, and when certain interventions are most appropriate. That would have been a game changer in addition to the flashcards that pair diagnoses and recommended theories. Also, you should add the 3rd button they make you press on the exam to get more of a feel for it. So the radio button, then "are you sure?" then submit as my exam and my peers' were formatted this way though Pearson testing. I felt the exam was harder than the practice simulations. I studied over 75% of the site, only missing some simulations and not doing any of the career or group tests. I would recommend this site, but there are a lot of things I would skip to spend more time on had I known.
