8/3/2017 Finally passed! I used a different study guide my first 2 attempts at the test and failed (in 2014 and 2015). I used this one for 3 weeks and boom passed! These scenarios were near-identical to the exam. If I used the tips and scenaios from the other site again, I'd have failed again. This material is on point I tell you.

8/10/2016 I passed on my first try. The mock tests were essential to me passing the test. At first I was overwhelmed with the amount of information that was on the page, but once I knew what to focus on I felt much better and confident about the test.

5/20/2016 I don't usually leave comments but I thought I ought to make an exception in this case. I purchased this at the recommendation of a colleague. I had already purchase another program from an online site and it was very expensive, very time consuming and had so much material to get through until it was a little overwhelming. Needless to say I took my NCMHE exam and I did not pass so I purchased this as a last ditch effort thinking I would utilize them both to increase my chances of passing. As I played with the site I found it easily maneuverable as well as reinforcing. For me it was not just a tool to test what I knew it help me with the areas I was weak in and I loved it. I found myself learning as well as assessing. I actually enjoyed interacting with the program. I decided not to use the other program and I focused on this one entirely and yes I passed the exam this time. I do think it is a little costly as well but I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is considering taking the NCMHE and I have already recommended it to friends who have not passed.

9/26/2017 This program is amazing. I passed the NCMHCE the first time. The format was very similar to the actual exam. I am very grateful that such a great program is provided to help individuals like me, have a greater chance of success. I will definitely recommend your program to anyone who will be taking this exam in the future.

11/1/2016 Your website is awesome, however, I took the exam today and failed it. Couple things I'd like to share that happened which compromised my score I feel worth documenting. When I clicked on the exam the first page had 5-7 selections. I picked the ones I felt answered the question. Each one approved as right answer. However, when I went to click next, I was told to read box content. I could not move forward. Thinking I may have missed a question, I kept clicking and hit next and clicked next and was not able to move forward. I clicked everything on screen until it finally allowed me to the next screen. I ran into this sane problem 4 more times when the choices were more than 5. I raised my hand, TA came in. I showed her the problem. She instructed me to find right answer, all that was left were wrong, I clicked them all. Clicked next and it again wouldn't go affirmation of functional issue. She clicked everything then she scrolled down (there was no scroll bar and no indication to scroll down, format was centered) and that was how she could get us to the next screen. I told her "there is no way I passed this exam because of this". I filed a claim that test was functionally flawed. This problem completely took me off track. Im letting you know so maybe you can add to your site that theres an invisible scroll bar that if not utilized you can't move to next page. Also, scrap paper is not needed. There's a box you can take notes. There is also a case review box to review previous pages. If you have any suggestions let me know. I think if weren't so anxious I may have tried to scroll down. But there was absolutely no way to know there was scroll bar nor that 1/2 cm would be what it takes to move to next screen. I feel COMPLETELY cheated and like I was set up for failure by Pearson.

11/7/2017 Thanks so much! Doing the practice simulations is what I needed to get a sense of what to expect from the test, and what the test expected from me.

2/15/2017 I took the NCMHCE yesterday and passed it with flying colors thanks to this website. For me the simulations for most helpful. Make sure you study in the areas you're not familiar with and you will do fine

1/28/2016 Here is the deal: The NCMHCE is not a test of what you learned in grad school. It's not a test of how good a counselor you'll be. This is a test of how to take a test. If you learn how to take the test, you'll pass. This website teaches you exactly HOW to take the test. Don't be cheap, fork over the money, get the three month prep course, and you'll pass the NCMHCE the first time you take it. Don't, and you probably won't because you will have no idea how to take this unusual type of test. No matter how much information you study or learned in grad school, it won't help you if you don't know how to take the test. I signed up for the 3 month course and passed the first time I took the test based on using the Study Guide and computer simulations. Thank you for this site! It's basically a "cheat sheet" for the real exam!

5/16/2016 I just wanted to let Dr. Linton know and all the members of the counselingexam.com team that I have passed the NCMHCE exam. It took a few times, however, when I failed, Dr. Linton was extremely helpful, provided advice and provided me with constructive insight on areas of focus. I recommend these tools for study! Good luck prospective students and study hard! I know I did.

10/4/2016 There are a tremendous number of type-o's and errors on the site. They drove me crazy. I also feel like some of the material is old and with the DSM 5 coming out, am hoping you will update accordingly. I got one question wrong and then the response indicated there were two actual correct answers, the one the test showed as correct AND my answer. My biggest benefit from the sight was the availability of different learning formats that kept me more focused on what I was reading, and I also learned to slow waaaaaay down when test-taking.
