9/18/2018 I passed my exam on the first try with high scores. The strategies, especially writing out DX symptoms on one side of the page and Functioning on the other side of the page helped me quickly and easily conceptualize each case, thereby illuminating where I needed more information and how to easily eliminate irrelevant information/diagnoses. I could see on the graph my scores improving which then increased my confidence that I could pass. The exam format trained me for what to expect so when I sat down to take it, I was in a familiar environment which lowered my (understandable) anxiety. I carefully went through every scenario and had time left over at the end. Being handed a report that said PASS was one of the greatest days of my life. Thank you so much for developing such an extensive website that includes strategies and a zillion opportunities to practice.

9/18/2018 I just took and passed the NCMHCE! Counselingexam.com was incredibly helpful in prepping for the exam and well worth the price. The videos gave wonderful test taking tips that were beneficial, the simulations and case studies helped familiarize me with the test format and providing feedback, and the extras were helpful in brushing up on information I was a little rusty on. This is definitely something I am recommending to my other counselor friends!

9/15/2018 I passed my NCMHCE exam on the first try with high scores. I could see my progress at raising my exam score because it was graphed out on my page. Watching my scores steadily go up increased my confidence that I could pass. I studied very hard and worked on the majority of subject matters and took lots of quizzes and practice exams. The rationale for why I got answers right and wrong were very helpful in training on the specific logic of the test. The exam format on this website trained me for what to expect so when I sat down to take it, I was in a familiar environment which lowered my (understandable) anxiety. I carefully went through every scenario and had time left over at the end. Being handed a report that said PASS was one of the greatest days of my life. Thank you so much for developing such a tremendous and extensive website that includes strategies and a zillion opportunities to practice. I would highly recommend this training website to anyone who wants to not only take, but pass the NCMHCE.

9/14/2018 I agree with most on here that this is not a test that determines your counseling ability, this is a test where you need to know the format of the test in order to pass. I did PASS with flying colors on the FIRST try only doing the simulations and practice exams. I found the practice exams harder than the actual test, which I am actually thankful for because I honestly knew how to answer the questions and what the test was asking of me right away. Get this, my score on the REAL test was higher than my score on the practice exams. Thank you so much counseling exam!!

10/3/2018 I took my NCMHCE this morning, and am relieved to report that I passed!!! There wasn't as much margin between my scores and the minimum passing scores as I would have liked, but I did pass with a comfortable margin. My scores were also in line with the scores I had received on the simulations and practice tests. I would definitely recommend this site for test prep, and have been telling people that I could not have passed the exam without the practice tests on this site. In addition to the practice tests, I did a lot of direct studying of the DSM-5, as well as studying the review material provided on the site for assessments, ethics, and counseling theories. It is not enough to kind of know the DSM-5 diagnoses. You need to be able to distinguish between similar diagnoses.
