10/18/2021 Good Afternoon, I successfully passed my exam last week. The practice exams and simulations were truly valuable in my preparation. The creators of this content seem to understand the NCMHCE quite well and know what the test is looking for in each section. The one-month subscription to the site was ideal for me. I have already recommended the site to friends and colleagues and will continue to do so. Best Wishes, John

10/18/2021 I took my exam on 10/9/21 and PASSED! Thank you for your help and all the tips on this site. Practice and understanding the format of the test really helped reduce my anxiety while I took the exam. Overall I'm so relieved and thankful to be done. I took about 3 months to study and that was just right. Although at the end I thought I didn't study enough. I guess I did! Thanks again! Abby

10/10/2021 **(I typically do not write reviews); I know this is VERY long , but I just really want to possibly help someone/people out there who will be taking the NCMHCE Exam.** I took the NCMHCE Exam yesterday afternoon and passed on my first try with scores at least 30 and 11 points higher than the lowest possible passing grades on the sections. While preparing for the test, I as I am sure many others did as well, scoured the internet seeking tips and reviews hoping to get a sense of what others encountered on the exam. I soon found that although many people commented on whether they passed or failed, it was hard to find concrete information about what type of questions were on their test. Surely, everyone is going to have a different test, so there is no saying confidently what will be on it, but more than likely at least some content will be present. With that being said, I can safely say that had I not purchased the 30 day subscription on this site, I would not have passed. The simulations on this site are similar to the test. As some others have said, the wording is definitely different but I found at least on mine that it was not to the extent where I could not comprehend the expectations of what they were looking for. As with the simulations here, the test prioritizes answers about occupational/educational abilities and relationships/social when asking about functioning impairments and information needed to make a diagnosis. Out of my 10 simulations at least 6/7 asked about this. I also had a lot of questions around ethics, consultations/supervision, and record keeping, so make sure you go over that information. In fact, one of the questions about record keeping in one of my simulations was identical to one they have on this site. I knew exactly what the correct answers were because of it. Lastly, do not get tricked! On my exam one of the questions about informed consent (which they also asked a lot about), was worded very tricky to where it stated having the client's parents (underage child) sign a "blank" release of information as one of the selections. I was very confused about what this meant but knowing that a release has to be signed, selected it and it was incorrect being that they said "blank". Also, my first 3 simulations had a diagnosis of an adjustment disorder with different specifiers. I was surprised by this and thought maybe this was their way of trying to trick people by them thinking there is no way they would do that. So, watch out for that as well! I had absolutely no questions about differentials (thankfully!- I did not take time to review those as much as I should have and I am sure would have gotten them wrong if I did), nor group work. I had a lot of simulations about underaged clients, specifically 13 years old. One simulation focused on Asian culture (I believe this client was one with a diagnosis of adjustment disorder). Some other diagnoses I had were a V-code diagnosis, major depressive disorder, substance use disorder, and a sexual disorder- female. Take your time but not too much! I started hyperventilating when I saw that I had only 20 minutes left and at least 30 more questions to go. Later, when I hit the 5 minute mark (you get a warning on the screen), I had to rush through the last 3 sets of questions. I got some wrong because of that, so really make sure you are vigilant with keeping track of time (they have a clock at the right hand corner of the screen that tells you how much time is left). I almost did not give this site a chance because as others have said, it is very pricey. But it is for a very important cause and I found it to be extremely helpful. Passing that test especially on my first try was such a weight lifted off of my shoulders. Good luck!!:)

10/10/2021 I passed yesterday. First time taking the exam. Do all of the simulations and read the exam prep index cards. Recommend this program. I only wish it had an index to search specific things quickly.

10/7/2021 I subscribed to your website for 3 months! Best decision I made! I passed my exam today on the first attempt! Thanks so much for your thorough website and tools! The actual exam was arguably easier than the practice simulations. I'm grateful! Jennifer.

10/11/2021 For nearly $500, I am shocked at how poor it is set up. It does not have a clear flow of how to study. There's countless grammatical errors that make it difficult for me to understand and focus on the exam instead of the typos. I feel like I'm going to fail and now looking at purchasing material through a different program. I went with Counseling Exam because so many people highly recommended it but I'm not liking it and now I will be digging deeper into my tight finances.
