5/26/2022 5/21/2022 I passed! This is not a test of what you learned in grad school or how great of a counselor you are. This is a test of how to take a test. If you don't know how to take this test, you will fail because it is NOT like any test you've ever taken. Counseling exam teaches you exactly how to take this test and it is uncannily accurate! I signed up for the three-month subscription but only completed about 15% of the program, therefore I failed my first attempt. Counseling exam restarted my subscription free of charge for an additional 30 days in which I was able to complete majority of the Simulation exams for practices and then I passed after my second attempt of taking the NCMHCE. One word of advice: If you're not able to "Pass" the 3-hour online simulation tests through this website, don't take the exam yet. Once you can pass those, you'll pass the "real" exam. Thanks to this website for ensuring I passed!"

5/25/2022 Thank GOD!!!! I passed the exam on my second attempt (May 2022) after using this and some other supplemental materials. (The first time I did not study as much) However, this program was great because of the endless simulations you can use and also the wealth of information it provides. I was able to make flash cards for several different areas to study on the go. This is a good program to assist with passing the exam. I would recommend. Just a side note I took the exam before they change programs, however I think it would still be helpful after looking at the narrative part.

5/22/2022 I passed my exam on 5/10/22 my second time around. Definitely would not have passed without my subscription to counseling exam. The simulations are very similar to the exam. Highly recommend!!!

5/21/2022 I just passed the NCMHCE exam today on the first try. Counsleingexam.com was my main study guide and not only prepared me to take the exam, but get into the mindset to take the exam. I struggle with exams and was nervous about the NCMHCE. However, because I was prepared for what to expect, and how to handle whatever may come up on the exam, through the videos and guides, when I was flustered during the exam, or felt I was really messing up, I remembered what was taught in the "preparing to take the exam" content, stopped, breathed, and stayed focused. This site offers more than just basic exam information, it trains you to take and pass the NCMHCE, and get into the mind and process of the test. I now recommend it to anyone who asks me for a test pre for NCMHCE. It was the best subscription I have ever purchased. Now to submit my application for licensure, and advance in my career.

5/18/2022 I just passed my exam- this was the second time I took it. I only had enough time for the 7 day subscription. My first time I used a different site/study guide which was helpful- but nowhere near the information I learned from this program. The simulations really provided me the opportunity to practice decision making. Thank you so much.

5/18/2022 Just took the exam today and passed! I have to say the practice exams on counselingexams.com were slightly harder than the real thing! The format is very close but not exact, but I felt anxiously confident going in! I scored a couple percentage points higher than my most recent practice scores. Grateful for the ~2 month of practice with this website!

5/18/2022 I used this program for four months and passed with an excellent score the first time. The SIM map was a great tool. I used it for every simulation, took my time to read carefully, and learned not to select an answer I wasn't 90% sure of. This was the best test prep program I have ever used, and I have taken several certification exams. The videos of the DSM disorders were great since I am an auditory learner. The program is exactly like the test, which is critical since this is unlike any exam I have taken. I completed all the simulations and practice exams. It reinforced my confidence in my skills, and I wasn't nervous during the exam because it seemed so easy. Thanks for a great program!

5/16/2022 I did pass the exam today, but I feel like I wasted a ton of time on subjects here thinking they would be on the exam, and they were not at all. You could remove all those group and career simulations and add more young children simulations. The family therapy interventions were not present in really any of the simulations, and not my exam or any of my peers' exams. I think there should be more focus and videos on level of functioning, and when certain interventions are most appropriate. That would have been a game changer in addition to the flashcards that pair diagnoses and recommended theories. Also, you should add the 3rd button they make you press on the exam to get more of a feel for it. So the radio button, then "are you sure?" then submit as my exam and my peers' were formatted this way though Pearson testing. I felt the exam was harder than the practice simulations. I studied over 75% of the site, only missing some simulations and not doing any of the career or group tests. I would recommend this site, but there are a lot of things I would skip to spend more time on had I known.
