9/18/2017 I took my NCMHCE exam this week and passed the first time thanks to Dr. Hutchinson! I found the simulations and full-length practice exams the most helpful. The simulations at the site are very similar to the ones on the actual exam. I personally found it helpful to revisit simulations in areas that I did not learn enough about in grad school, in my case, children and families. I used the pdf study book as well, especially the assessment section. The DSM 5 flash cards were very helpful, too. It was especially helpful to refresh my memory about the duration from when symptoms started for various diagnoses as this was important to know for the exam. I highly recommend this site!

Your DSM flashcard tips, test-taking strategies, suggestions about choosing answers and the layout of the simulations was exact. 1/18/2018 Hi there, I'm writing to tell you that on June 22 I took both the NCMHCE and NCE exams in one day. AND I PASSED THEM BOTH! I TOTALLY ROCKED IT! I was scared and exhausted but I was also totally prepared because of the information and practice exams that this site offered. I am so thankful that I made that investment, it was so worth it. 11/30/2017 Dear Dr. Linton, First of all, I PASSED!! Thank you so very much for creating this helpful, logical, and multi-pronged approach to studying for the NCMHCE exam. Initially, I had purchased another program and was really struggling. One week before I was scheduled for my exam, I signed up for a 7-day subscription with counselingexam.com and dove right in. From the beginning (the "start here" section), I was able to make sense of the test, learn the counseling information, and take in valuable test taking strategies. Thank you, thank you thank you! The most helpful sections for me were the "start here" videos, all the simulations - the full-length simulations in particular allowed me to manage my anxiety by experiencing an approximation of the real thing, the DSM case study questions, and the flash cards for the DSM diagnoses, rule-outs, and differential diagnoses.

12/31/2018 I passed Tuesday! Counseling exam is the reason.  Passed first time! The other study materials were of no help. I only passed because of counselingexam. Thank you!
