4/14/2016 THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! I PASSED THE EXAM. Whew. I wanted to tell you that the test was a lot like the test of Dr. Linton's. I felt so comfortable with it which help to lower my anxiety.  There were so many similarities that I felt like I was taking the practice test at home.  I am cheerfully singing the praises of this website and spreading the word to any student I know that is headed towards licensure.  Thanks again.

7/22/2017 I took the NCMHCE this morning and passed it with 85%. Kept thinking about "smoking it like a bad cigar". I signed up for your website only on 2/16, recommended by Jonathan at his website. I had been denied reciprocity when I moved to MA last year, even though I had been licensed in 3 other states, practiced for 17 years and was a NCC with a robust resume. I spent 3 months feeling as though I was getting nowhere with the AATBS package - test just didn't make sense to me, at 62 I could not memorize the way I used to. But I used your website to do every simulation, reviewed where I went wrong, then took it again the next day. In the four weeks I had, I did every simulation and practice exam this way, and then did some more a third time. In time, I "got" the exam, granted some of their answers are laughable. As a counselor educator, I had been initially dismayed at the test, wondering how it would aid young clinicians. By jumping in with the simulations, I could see what they were doing and respected the test more. Your website let me find it in there. Tomorrow is my 63rd birthday and I think I won't study!

11/26/2016 I think the website is awesome! I make a copy of "Gotta Know" and print it out every night so I can have something tangible to read, highlight and make other marks...especially with the diagnoses. The information on theories are great also. I have not been passing the exams, but I don't get upset about it. I am learning the structure of the exam as well as the expectations. I graduate in December 2016 and I believe I will be ready by this time next year, especially if I still have access to this website. Thank you so much for keep me inspired.

6/1/2016 Hello! I am happy to report that I took the exam for the first time on 3/11/16, and passed with flying colors!! I had 36 points above the passing score on IG, and 27 points above the passing score on DM! The most noticeable differences for me from the real exam versus the study material, were that the large majority of my simulations on the real exam were adjustment disorders! I was ready for the real "tough" stuff! Additionally, some of my simulations actually TOLD me the diagnosis that was chosen, and the questions were based off of that. I wasn't expecting that, but I guess it was a nice surprise. Also, I wasn't anticipating that on the real exam, many of the simulations were actually much shorter than the practice simulations. I had 78 questions TOTAL, which means each sim had about 7-8 questions. One thing that I had read in the "breaking news" section the day before my exam was that sometimes you'll just see "noted" and you will not know whether it was the right or wrong choice. That TOTALLY freaked me out. I would highly advise people to go ahead and assume that, like on the practice questions, if you're seeing "noted," you're doing just fine. All in all, I'd like to say thank you for the study help! When I first subscribed, I was extremely overwhelmed by all that was available to study. But what worked best for me was going through every single simulation, as well as just completely reading the DSM cover to cover. I skipped most of the flashcards, because that was just not how I usually study. To each their own!

5/6/2016 Wanted to let Dr. Linton that I passed the NCMHCE yesterday with flying colors! I truly believe that I would not have been able to pass the exam if I had not subscribed to counselingexam.com. I did every practice simulation and took all three full-length exams - really helped me feel fully prepared to take the test. Thank you Dr. Linton!
