10/4/2017 This site is the absolute gold standard for preparing for the NCMHCE. The simulations are exactly like the test, and they prepare you for 100% of what you are going to encounter. I passed on my first try after buying a week subscription leading up to my exam. They also have excellent and caring customer service -- my subscription was ending in the morning the day before my exam, so I left them a voicemail asking if they would give me a few more hours or study time. AND THEY DID! Really top notch -- thanks!

8/25/2017 June 2017 I just passed my LPC and I wanted to know I couldn't have done it without your site. Other study guides were ineffective. Your site had relevant information to help me study and learn. The practice simulations were just like the real exam, and being able to take more than 100 of them made a real difference. I would surely recommend your site to any of my co-workers studying for licensure.

8/22/2018 Good Morning, I want to tell you that I passed my exam yesterday and it was 100% because of your study tools (and of course the time I put into preparing). Prior to purchasing your ebook and 30 day subscription, I had spent over $400 on study guides from NBCC (which were good simulations) and other organizations. They didn't hold a candle to your material. Thanks soooo much for such a comprehensive and interesting, engaging method of studying. I will, of course, spread the word to EVERYONE who is going to take the NCMHCE. Thanks again!

3/13/2016 Thank you. Simple words, but words cannot adequately describe my gratitude to you, along with your counselingexam.com team. While I retained a decent amount of information from my graduate school days, have been working in the field for several years, and even paid $500 exam for an exam prep workshop, it was your method, outstanding case studies, flash cards, exam/study tips, podcasts, full exam simulations...etc., that I credit to passing the NCMHCE on my first attempt. While our interactions were limited to email, you were the first person I called after I completed the exam. I was amazed by your quick responses to inquiries, insightful and inspiring daily emails, as well as your well thought out case studies that included DSM-5 topics. Looking back on my experience, I honestly cannot think of anything missing from your all-encompassing service, it was worth every single penny and more! That said, I now only have two remaining regrets. First, I wish I had known about your service before I began studying for the exam (and before I took said $500 workshop) some ten months ago. Second, I will miss our interactions and your daily emails. I will most certainly recommend www.counselingexam.com to friends, colleagues, students, and anyone else planning on taking the exam. Thank you!

6/28/2018 Ellen here. Just wanted to let you know that I passed!!!!!! (first time) Yipeee! Although I certainly didn't ace it, I did have plenty of room to spare to still pass. As I look back, I think doing loads of simulations and your sections that really forced me to go back to my DSM were the keys to success (and the earplugs, of course). Please pass that on to others. Thanks again for providing this service -- it's so much more fun to study your way! -- and for your accessibility and encouraging words.

6/28/2018 Just wanted to thank you. I bought a three month subscription, got busy at work and completely procrastinated. A week before the exam I purchased another week and spent 3-4 hours per day cramming. In addition I reading through the study guide, I watched every video and took every simulation on the site. On the morning of the test I got up and left early because there was snow. The freeway was a solid sheet of ice and I sat at a stand still for 1:40. I called the test site and amp. They arranged for me to take the test even though I was approximately 40 minutes late. I got the 4 hour test and finished it in 2:10. I not only passed but just about blew the thing out of the water. This was puzzling because I expected the real test to be more difficult than the simulations on the site. Not so. The simulations totally prepared me to more than do well on the real thing. Thanks so much for the help. I was hired into a position that required a license and with your help, now I can keep it long term.

6/28/2018 I passed yesterday with 87% on both sections. I would recommend www.counselingexam.com to practice what the SIMs will look like. However, this site gives you more than you need. You do not need to focus on differential diagnosis or theories and his site does a lot of both. Still necessary for the practice in my opinion though. Give yourself breaks in the test- its a long time to "be on"! Good luck!

5/9/2024 I passed the first time! Ive been out of school for 13 years and working as a case manager, not doing too much individual therapy. I was terrified of the NCMHCE. My job pushed me to get my LPCC so I did lots of research to see what the best study programs were. I saw SO MANY positive reviews for Counselingexam.com so I decided to give it a try. I only gave myself 1 month to study. I would listen to the podcast to/from work everyday and I studied 1 hr every night for 3 weeks. I took off work the week before my test and spent all day studying each of those days. I scored 72/65! This program really provided everything I needed and I loved that I could choose audio/video/reading/games. THANK YOU!!!!!
