2/16/2023 Your program was so helpful to me. I passed the NCMHCE exam on the first try! I was in the midst of preparing for the old format and had to switch to the narrative version. Counselingexam.com did not miss a beat with providing content for the new format. I am forever grateful to those that put this resource together and recommend it to anyone preparing for the exam!

2/6/2023 I took my test yesterday and passed on the first try! This program was the most raved about and helpful resource out of everything I researched! I signed up for the 30-day subscription and committed at least 2 1/2 hours daily to studying. The narratives and full exams were helpful as they prepare you for the format of the actual exam. The master classes, technique trees, and the narrative mapping were invaluable. There is so much information provided, it really covers everything ( plus some)!! I followed the suggested studying format and to be honest, even though I couldn't get through everything, I still felt confident logging on to take the test. Preparing for this exam can be highly stressful and if you have a busy life like me, it can be overwhelming trying to figure out how, when, and what to study. I will highly recommend this to anyone preparing for the test as it made it seamless, convenient, and definitely helped me brush up on skills and concepts need to prepare for this exam!

2/5/2023 I have been terrified of this test for years. In fact, I almost dropped out of my masters program and left the clinical licensing track upon hearing about it. I failed my first two attempts but came very close….passed info gathering and failed decision making by 1 point. I subscribed to your program and studied EVERYTHING. I think that for me the biggest help was memorizing techniques and matching with theories. Learning the different theories and what diagnosis they work best with was also crucial. Previously I had memorized diagnosis and differential diagnosis which helped as well. This website was instrumental in my passing of the exam. Josh D

1/27/2023 Overall, I studied for 242 hours, over 5.5 months. It was a very challenging and grueling process. But, thankfully (for the materials on counselingexam.com and God's help) I passed! The test was very challenging, long, and rigorous (as was the process of studying). For me, the whole site was helpful, as all the materials really helped me to "study for the test", and help me to begin thinking like the test writers. The narratives are SUPER helpful, and are very similar to what's on the actual test. They really help to gauge your readiness for the test, help to focus you on what areas you need to study, etc. Thanks so much for these study materials, they were invaluable in helping me to pass this test!!

1/20/2023 I just took my exam for the first time (new format) and passed it! This webpage definitely did help me! One thing I’d recommend is for more defense mechanism choices, as there were some on the exam that weren’t covered in the practice, or to make the studying for these in different shorter levels so it doesn’t feel like a large hill to climb. The narratives are definitely close to the ones in the new format of the exam, but the ones on the exam may be a bit longer depending on the circumstance.
