3/13/2016 Thank you. Simple words, but words cannot adequately describe my gratitude to you, along with your counselingexam.com team. While I retained a decent amount of information from my graduate school days, have been working in the field for several years, and even paid $500 exam for an exam prep workshop, it was your method, outstanding case studies, flash cards, exam/study tips, podcasts, full exam simulations...etc., that I credit to passing the NCMHCE on my first attempt. While our interactions were limited to email, you were the first person I called after I completed the exam. I was amazed by your quick responses to inquiries, insightful and inspiring daily emails, as well as your well thought out case studies that included DSM-5 topics. Looking back on my experience, I honestly cannot think of anything missing from your all-encompassing service, it was worth every single penny and more! That said, I now only have two remaining regrets. First, I wish I had known about your service before I began studying for the exam (and before I took said $500 workshop) some ten months ago. 1/18/2017 This was my first time taking the NCMHCE and I passed. Taking practice exams helped defeat test anxiety. Taking deep breaths and not over-thinking did the rest. I remembered that many of the choices seem valid but do are not directly indicated by the information provided in the scenarios. I was finished in an hour and half which scared me. Know the DSM V diagnoses criteria. Read and understand the ACA Code of Ethics. Have a basic understanding of tests and assessments. The information provided on Counselingexam.com definitely helped me pass. Best advice from counselingexam? Don't get click happy. It's tempting to second guess and convince yourself that the more you choose the better you'll do. Don't do it. The few times I did I got the dreaded "not indicated" notifications. I'm done! No more studying! I wish everyone best of luck in taking their tests!

12/12/2017 I used counselingexam.com and have been studying from August to November. I found the simulations to be the best help, and almost overprepared due to the amount of content on that site. Being comfortable with the format was the biggest help, and on the exam you do have a running table of all previously chosen answers so you can go back and gather information for the next sections. So glad I passed it on the first try. It also helps to have a study partner to bounce ideas/talk through reasons for choosing or not choosing a certain item. Good luck to you all who are waiting to take the test. Go slow, and practice some relaxation before, during, and after the test!

11/24/2016 Dr. Hutchinson, thank you so much for taking the time to write the simulations and the Counseling exam.com site. I never thought I would pass the LPC exam. I have been eligible to sit for the exam for three years and have forgotten a lot. I am an ID case manager and often do not use a lot of clinical skills. Many nights I went to bed upset due to failing all of the simulations. Only my husband believed in me. I recommend this site for anyone taking the exam. Thank you!

11/1/2018 Dear Dr. Hutchinson, I PASSED!!! Thank you for all of your support during this very important time in my life. Just knowing that you were there to answer questions or explain terminology to me was so helpful, i.e. differential vs. plausible. It gave me the confidence that I could pass - "It's in there" and to keep studying. Every morning I'd read the daily Inspirations before studying. Thanks again for all of your help!
