4/2/2018 I had taken the test previously not knowing what to expect and did not pass the first time. A colleague suggested this site and I signed up and was able to pass the test the second time around as I became more familiar with the testing and the questioning so this site allowed me to be better prepared for the format and understanding what the real exam was looking for. The Review Answers function was very helpful as it allowed me to see my errors and provided feedback that I may have never considered. 12/13/2022 I was very happy with this site. I took the exam yesterday and passed easily! I don't experience test anxiety usually but the the notifications of incorrect answers on the exam is is very stressful. Doing the simulations helped with that enormously. Do all the simulations!

12/10/2024 CounselingExam.com was recommended by students and faculty at my school. I did 60 days of prep: set of simulations daily and 3-hr practice exams on the weekends. What others told me was right - you really need to learn the unique format of the exam. I found the Review Answers function was very helpful feedback. I passed the NCMHCE on my first try, even though I'd been sick for a week. The online test prep format was nearly identical to the actual exam.

1/3/2018 Passed the test with no problems on the first attempt, being able to do multiple simulations (like, a LOT) and practice exams REALLY helped me out and made the test seem easy compared to how anxious I had been feeling about it! All of the information I could possibly need to understand is covered on this website in one form or another, and I went into the actual exam feeling really prepared.

12/16/2017 The subscription to this website was exactly the right thing to buy myself for preparing for the NCMHCE!! I took my exam today. First attempt ever. PASSED IT! I highly recommend that anyone questioning the value of the preparation materials over the cost just buy a subscription and absorb it all. The format of the exam is laid out so well that you will feel much more confident sitting down to take the exam from the onset. The simulations and full length practice exams were the best part! I also loved the comprehensive materials to review everything from my grad school training. SUBSCRIBE!

12/14/2017 Sigh, I don’t even know where to begin. All I can say was this was surely a long journey for me. I had taken the Mental Health Counseling exam and failed. Yes, it was discouraging. I was upset and felt defeated. I purchased the 60-day subscription and most importantly folks I followed the instructions to start from scratch before jumping head first to the simulations. This program will help you pass. After my 60 day subscription, I felt ready and confident and I passed 12/12/2017. Thank you so much counseling exam I could not have done this without you.

4/2/2018 I can't say enough about the counselingexam.com website. I just passed the NCMHCE on my first try, and I'm absolutely certain I wouldn't have had a chance at doing that if I didn't use virtually ALL the features of the site. I went through literally all of the simulations (twice) and the exams (twice) in order to learn from both the correct and incorrect answers, and that was probably the biggest advantage in terms of passing the test. I originally purchased a competitor's site, but after using it for several weeks, I felt I had 'used up' the website and books they sent me all too fast. So after talking with several colleagues in my field, I found that almost every one of them had used counselingexam.com and had passed their test. It was after those conversations that I realized it was well worth buying a 3 month subscription to have access to everything counselingexam.com has to offer -- the amount of use information on this site truly is remarkable. And please don't let the monthly subscription packages and pricing scare you -- after all, it's only your CAREER we're talking about if you don't pass this exam (not to mention the additional $523 I would've had to pay to re-take the exam in 3 months in my home state of Illinois). Many thanks to Dr. Hutchinson and his staff for putting together THE top website to study for the NCMHCE -- there isn't a more professional and comprehensive site on the web -- period!
