8/25/2024 I passed!!! First time, studied about 2 hrs a day for 3 weeks then 1 week with no studying. I went into the exam room feeling like I was going to fail because I felt completely unprepared. I needed a 65 to pass and I got a 66. God bless counselingexam.com.

Thank you for your daily podcasts, emails, inspiring messages which have kept me motivated during my studies. Like many others, I used other study aids, tutoring and failed the exam twice and was discouraged. Thanks to my colleague, who referred me to your product which made a world of difference for me. 8/12/2024 My NCMHCE examination was on 8/8/24, and I passed on the first try. I honestly was not expecting to pass during the first try, I began the test with a calm and present mind state and was not fixated on questions that I didn't know immediately, I just continued on until I had to answer the question and made an educated guess. In my opinion counseling exam has a variety of study tools for different learners which makes this website super valuable. Mini narratives was my favorite tool to use because the questions you answer incorrectly will prompt you to study more on that specific subject, I also used the DSM-5 TR trees, this helped me in remembering the components that makeup the diagnosis. I also used the theory tree ALOT, it breaks down the meaning of the specific theory in laymen terms, I also used the interactive games for a visual aid. Thank you Counseling Exam !!!

7/31/2024 I passed the NCMHCE today on my first try! I used a few resources (print and online) but the depth and breadth of study material available on this platform far exceeded any of the others I used. I am so grateful that I chose to invest the majority of my study time into this valuable resource.

7/23/2024 Invaluable, I passed my exam on the first attempt in May 2021, I credit Counselingexam for a large part of that success. I've since become licensed and I always tell people to check out Counseling Exam to support them in their studying journey. Thank you for creating this wonderful tool.

7/22/2024 I PASSED!!! I want to thank counseling exam for this. Yes, I'm the one that put in the hard work but they made it easy to keep up with my studying and stay organized. I have ADHD and it is difficult to stay organized and motivated. Seeing the percentage of items studied and being able to check off what I had studied, truly helped keep me motivated. I will be recommending this site for anyone trying to pass the NCNMHE. Some tidbits, I had 2.5 months to study. The first month and a half, I logged on MOST days, except Sundays (that was my day off). you need time to rest and let the information sink in. The last month I logged in daily with Saturdays off, I switched up my day off, so that my brain could stay engaged. The weekend and day before the exam I reviewed only. The day of the exam, I got a massage beforehand and did not study at all. I also studied in clusters and jumped around subjects often. I purchased items that were designated solely for studying (to keep me motivated) and designated my home office only for studying. Good luck to anyone studying and I hope any of the tips above help you as much as they did me.

7/16/2024 I am writing this as someone with *years of experiencing test anxiety. I can truly say I have never felt more prepared for and confident about an exam than I did with the NCMHCE all thanks to Counseling Exam! Dr. Linton Hutchinson and Stacy helped me review everything from ethics and counselor attending skills, all the way to so many theories and interventions! I walked out of the exam today passing well over the needed score on my first try and I have Counseling Exam to thank for it! If you are feeling nervous or overwhelmed as to how to start studying for your national licensing exam, I highly recommend Counseling Exam! The practice narratives, interactive activities, and especially the audio clips/podcast by Dr. Linton and Stacy, helped me tremendously. They also include helpful study tips and tricks (my biggest one was listening to the audio clips/podcast episodes as I drove to work and home each day in the weeks leading up to the exam!). This resource was recommended to me by so many of my friends and colleagues, and I am excited to now share my experience and encourage others to use it as well! Good luck studying and as they say here - It's in there! :)

7/12/2024 I took the exam for the first time today and PASSED! I can honestly say this was the most challenging exam I have ever taken and had it not been for my due diligence in studying for the past three months using this brilliant program, it would not have happened. I highly recommend going through the mini narratives, narratives, and the actual exams. I also focused on theories, counseling skills, and interventions, amongst many other skills. You”ll know where improvements are needed and you’ll identify areas of expertise that many of us clinicians possess. However, the exam requires a thorough understanding of all the testing components and this program is the best preparation to promote success. I highly recommend this program to anyone who intends on taking the NCMHCE. I am so relieved and grateful that I passed!. THANK YOU LINTON AND FRIENDS! -Gina

7/9/2024 I took and passed my exam earlier this week. It wouldn't have been possible without help from this website. One of the things that was most useful were recommendations about dealing with test anxiety, and how to frame and think about the exam. During the test I slowed down, took my time, and was able to pass with flying colors.
